Bushfire Attack Level Assessments
Be sure of your fire risk
Bushfire Assessment Reporting
In 2015, the State Government introduced bushfire reform stating additional requirements for people intending to develop or build in bushfire-prone areas.
The bushfire reform requires property owners and developers to assess a property’s bushfire risk and take additional construction measures to limit the impact of bushfires. To determine the severity of a property’s exposure to bushfires, a Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) assessment is completed, which forms the basis for construction requirements. Attack levels range from very low risk, where bushfire resistant construction is not required, to extreme risk, meaning the area is a flame zone.
As accredited BAL assessors, we can assess your Bushfire Attack Level to obtain your building permit and ensure your compliance with bushfire construction requirements.
